The path to a stronger democracy starts with one simple step: make sure you are ready to participate.

✔ YOUR ACTION: Check or update your voter registration. Make sure your name, address, and language preference are current. Take a screenshot of your confirmation. Then personally invite 3 people to check their registration too. *If you or someone you know will turn 18 by Election Day, pledge to register now. Many states allow pre-registration.

✔ ✔ BONUS: Share a registration reminder through your congregation, workplace, health network, or neighborhood group. One post or email can reach dozens. Use the Election Earth graphics and sample text to make it easy.

A plan turns intention into action. Life gets busy, and voting is easier when you decide the details ahead of time.

✔ YOUR ACTION: Complete the Voting Plan Checklist. Decide HOW you will vote, WHEN you will vote, and WHERE you will vote. Add Election Day, November 3, 2026, to your calendar. Check your state’s early voting and vote-by-mail options, choose your voting method, and share your plan with 5 people.

✔ ✔ BONUS: Ask your organization, congregation, or community group to include the voting plan checklist in an email, newsletter, or meeting announcement this week. When more people share their plans, voting becomes a visible, normal part of community life.

People are more likely to vote when someone they know and trust asks them to. That person can be you.

✔ YOUR ACTION: Build your voter circle, a group of 5, 10, or 20 people you commit to checking in with between now and Election Day. Choose friends, family, neighbors, colleagues, classmates, congregants, patients, or community members you can personally help stay informed, prepared, and ready to vote.

✔ ✔ BONUS: Invite your organization, congregation, workplace, campus, clinic, or community group to encourage members to build voter circles of their own. When more people reach out to those they know and trust, the circle of participation grows.

We are the climate majority. Together, we can turn our shared commitment to a safe, healthy future into lasting change.

✔ YOUR ACTION: Take the Climate Voter Pledge, then invite the 5, 10, or 20 people in your voter circle to take it too. Every pledge helps make the climate majority more visible and builds momentum toward Election Day.

✔ ✔ BONUS: Ask your organization, congregation, workplace, campus, clinic, or community group to share the Climate Voter Pledge with their members and networks. One email, post, or announcement can inspire dozens more people to pledge.

Civic power grows when we act together. This week, make the climate majority visible in a way that decision-makers can feel.

✔ YOUR ACTION: Host a postcard-sending gathering in your home, workplace, place of worship, campus, clinic, or online. Choose the message that fits your group, personalize, address, and send your postcards together.

Three ways to take action:

1. Request Your Postcards: Claim your FREE postcard packet with up to 25 postcards HERE. Choose “Climate Action Is Our Common Ground,” “Extreme Heat Is a Public Health Crisis,” or use both.
2. Personalize Your Message: Invite at least 5 friends, family members, neighbors, or colleagues to join you. Use the 5 Steps to Effective Climate Communication to write why climate action matters to you and your community.
3. Send or Hand Deliver: Find your elected officials’ names and mailing addresses (Representatives | Senators | Don’t forget about city and county-level leaders too!) then mail or hand-deliver your postcards.

Help reach the goal of 2,500 postcards sent by the end of October!

✔ ✔ BONUS: Take a photo of yourself or your group with your completed postcards. Share it on social and tag ecoAmerica, or send it to electionearth@ecoamerica.org.

Democracy is not something that happens to us. It is something we build together.

✔ YOUR ACTION: Civic service is climate action. Sign up to serve as a poll worker, poll chaplain, peacekeeper, or nonpartisan volunteer and help voters participate safely, confidently, and with dignity. If you are unable to serve, help build democracy another way: personally invite 3 people in your network to sign up and send them the links.

✔ ✔ BONUS: Ask your organization, congregation, workplace, or community group to share nonpartisan volunteer opportunities with members.

Your ballot is where values become choices. Climate action shows up in races and ballot measures at every level of government.

✔ YOUR ACTION: Climate is on your ballot, even when the word ‘climate’ is not. Preview your ballot using the Election Earth Ballot Preview Tool. Then use the Climate Candidate and Ballot Assessment Tool to evaluate candidates and measures through a climate and community lens. Take notes and make sure your climate values are reflected in the choices you make at the ballot box.

✔ ✔ BONUS: Share the ballot preview tool with your network. Encourage 5 people to look up their ballot before voting opens. You could even review choices together over coffee or dinner.

Every voter deserves to make their voice heard. Knowing your rights helps protect that freedom for you and those around you.

✔ YOUR ACTION: Read the Election Earth Voting Rights Guide. Save the Election Protection Hotline in your phone: 866-OUR-VOTE (866-687-8683). Share voting rights information with at least 5 people.

✔ ✔ BONUS: Share the guide with community leaders, congregations, clinics, campuses, workplaces, neighborhood groups, and anyone helping people prepare to vote.

Election Day is the last day to vote, but in many states it’s not the only day to vote. This week, find your options before the final rush.

✔ YOUR ACTION: Go to VoteEarlyDay.org and check whether early voting is available in your state. Find your dates, location, hours, and any ID or ballot return rules you need to know. Add your early voting plan to your calendar and share the early voting lookup with 5 people.

✔ ✔ BONUS: Use Vote Early Day’s nonprofit toolkit and customizable graphics to build momentum for Vote Early Day on October 24th.
